An extension of a previous post about taking rest days for mental health here are some self-care activities to try when you are taking the much needed time to yourself to recover.

π₯° Light a candle or some nice smelling essential oils or incense sticks.
π₯° Take a long warm bath, watch some TV in the bath and really enjoy your time in the warm.
π₯° Read an interesting book or magazine.
π₯° Update yourself on the news around the world and in your country.
π₯° Find a new series or film you want to watch.
π₯° Watch your favourite film/series.
π₯° Write 10 things your grateful for.
π₯° Indulge in your favourite food.
π₯° Watch an interesting documentary.
π₯° Do something or watch something that makes you laugh.
π₯° Watch the sunrise/sunset.
π₯° Get up early, make yourself a decent breakfast and enjoy the morning.
π₯° Go on a technology retreat and avoid all technology.
π₯° Take a nap.
π₯° Do something creative.
π₯° Spend time with a friend or family member.
π₯° Play your favourite game/ play a game with others.
π₯° Listen to your favourite podcast/radio show.
π₯° Write what you love about yourself.
π₯° Try a new recipe and cook yourself a delicious meal.
π₯° Have a singing session, put your favourite tunes on have a dance and sing around the house when no one is watching.
π₯° Pamper yourself, paint your nails, deep condition your hair.. etc.
π₯° Call someone you love.
π₯° Read some positive affirmations.
π₯° Read some quotes.
π₯°Read some poetry.
π₯° Read some short stories.
π₯°Go for a walk with your dog/spend some time with a pet.
